GCMHA Major Peewee A NDHL Champions!

The Warriors defeated the Welland Tigers 5-3 in game 3 of their 4 point series.

The Warriors defeated the Welland Tigers 5-3 in game 3 of their 4 point series. 
Chase Grossi opened the scoring in the first period, on a pass from Damon Chapman. Welland made a strong push late in the first period to take the lead with back to back goals only 8 seconds apart. 
The Warriors showed their resolve, coming back early in the second period, tying the game at 2’s on a goal by Eric Baranoski from Andrew Noble.  
The Tigers took the lead again less than a minute later to go ahead 3-2. 
The Warriors continued to push the pace of the game during the second period and they were eventually rewarded. Back to back goals were scored 35 seconds apart to propel Garden City into the lead. Daniel Baranek scored the tying goal from Alex Kennedy & Peter Chios. The eventual game winning goal came off of Noble’s stick with assists going to Dawson Burke & Baranoski.
Evan Alderman scored an insurance marker at 5:34 of the third, from Chapman to put the game on ice.
Mitchell Geoffroy was outstanding in goal refusing to be scored on once the Warriors took the lead.

 The coaches want to congratulate the boys on a great series and successful season.
